Mutation IV The Mutations Series is among Chinni's more recent work. The series of twelve drawings will be on display in Boca Raton, Florida in late 1999 and at the Lafitte Gallery in New Orleans in April, 2000. Despite his longstanding status as an artist who works almost exlusively with sculpture, this series demonstrates Chinni's powerful abilities with pastels and charcoals. These pieces continue the thread that has run through his work since the early 60's, encapsulating themes that fuse biology with spirituality. The bonelike "spinal" structures that are seen in several of the pieces curl in and out of otherwise static structures, wind themselves into recursive loops, and extend toward the heavens. This series is a particularly inspirational and vivid continuation of many of Chinni's common themes.

Janet Nessler Gallery, 1961 Inspired by Mediterranean landscapes and architecture, the Janet Nessler Gallery showcased what was one of Peter's first solo exhibitions in New York City. Royal Marks Gallery, 1964 Encapsulating Chinni's developing themes of birth, germination, and growth, the Royal Marks Gallery exhibition was a one-man exhibition that helped to establish Chinni as one of New York's foremost up-and-coming abstract sculptors. Albert Loeb Gallery, 1966 Further developing his niche within the school of abstract sculpture, Chinni exhibited these contemporary pieces at the Albert Loeb Gallery. This exhibition included some of his most well-known early sculptures. Loeb-Krugier Gallery, 1969 This exhibition was transitional, with experimentaion in movement and flight. It also included a few of the first works of hard-edged sculpture. Most of the works were fabricated in stainless steel.

Galleria San Marco (Rome), 1955 Chinni's first exhibition in Rome. Gallery Alexandra Monett (Brussells) & others, 1976 Visiting galleries in Brussells, Amsterdam, and Velsen, Holland, this exhibit was one of Chinni's most extensive.
